And recipebymum is my little corner of the internet!

I first opened the kitchen door to a blog in the spring of 2015, right after I quit my full‑time job as a graphic designer to raise my first child. I was juggling diaper changes and client deadlines, and I found that writing down the meals that kept my family fed felt like a lifeline. The first post was a simple spaghetti‑and‑meatballs recipe that I snapped on my phone and posted that night. I never imagined that a few hundred views would turn into a community.

Fast forward to today, recipebymum has become a full‑time kitchen lab. In March 2020 I hit 20,000 monthly pageviews, and by December 2022 I launched a weekly newsletter that now lands in the inboxes of over 5,400 readers. The site now hosts more than 350 recipes, a searchable ingredient index, and a video series that debuted in June 2023. I’ve been featured in the Austin Chronicle’s “Best Food Blogs” list and received a 4.9‑star rating on Trustpilot from over 800 home cooks.

I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband Mark and our two rambunctious kids, Lily (7) and Noah (4). When I’m not stirring a pot, you’ll find me tending my backyard herb garden, digging through my dad’s old jazz vinyl collection, or hunting down the best brunch spot on South Congress. My favorite kitchen tools are a cast‑iron skillet, a good chef’s knife, and a sturdy wooden spoon that’s been with me since the first post. If you ever drop by the kitchen, expect a fresh batch of coffee and a story about the last time the kids tried to “help” with dinner.
